Zi Xi Hong (Selenium-Rich Black Tea) is crafted from exclusively whole tea buds handpicked from historic, natural selenium-rich tea gardens at 1200 meters altitude in Ziyang County, Shaanxi Province.
Selenium-Rich Tea refers to tea plants cultivated in selenium-enriched soil. Through natural absorption and biotransformation, these plants convert inorganic selenium from the soil into organic selenium, which is more easily absorbed by the human body, and accumulate it in the tea leaves. The final tea product contains significantly higher selenium levels than ordinary tea and meets the national standards for selenium-rich foods.
Brewing Methods:
Standard tea-to-water ratio: approximately 1:30–1:50
