As one of China’s Top Ten Famous Green Teas, Biluochun is distinguished by its unique cultivation method, where tea bushes are interplanted with fruit trees. This practice imparts a natural floral and fruity aroma to the tea, and has been recognized as an important Agricultural Cultural Heritage of China . Its production technique is also listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of China and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity .
The processed tea features slender, tightly curled leaves resembling a spiral shell, covered in fine white hairs (pekoe) with a silvery-green hue. It boasts a rich and pronounced floral-fruity fragrance. The liquor is clear and bright, offering a sweet, mellow, and full-bodied taste, while the brewed leaves remain tender, green, and vibrant. It is celebrated for its “four wonders” — elegant shape, bright color, rich aroma, and mellow taste — and is renowned for its tenderness and triple freshness (of color, aroma, and flavor) .
