China is the homeland of tea.
China is the first country in the world to discover and use tea, with a history of over 4,000 years.
The world’s earliest monograph on tea, *The Book of Tea*(Cha JIng), was written more than 1,300 years ago by Lu Yu during the Tang Dynasty.
China was the first country to spread tea plants and tea-drinking culture to the world, reaching places such as Japan, Indonesia, and India. It wasn’t until the 15th century, during the Age of Exploration, that tea was brought to Europe.
China has the richest tea plant resources globally, with more than 350 tea plant varieties and over 1,000 types of tea.
China is also the country with the largest tea plantation area in the world. With more than 16 million mu (approximately 1.07 million hectares) of tea gardens nationwide, China accounts for about half of the world’s total tea plantation area.

Guizhou is one of the origins of tea and a treasure trove where landscapes and tea culture intertwine. Amidst majestic mountains, vast seas of green tea fields unfold like the poetic attire of the earth. III.Study Content
(1) Guizhou Famous Teas
Guizhou green tea is authentically “clean tea,” rooted in two aspects: its pristine ecological environment and Guizhou’s relentless pursuit of tea quality. This commitment is why Guizhou proudly names its tea after the province itself.
Duyun Maojian is one of China’s top ten famous teas. There is a saying in Guizhou: “In the north, there is Moutai liquor from Renhuai; in the south, there is Duyun Maojian tea.” This reflects its high quality and reputation. Savoring a cup of Duyun Maojian offers a fresh, mellow taste with an unforgettable aftertaste.

Meitan Cuiya originates from Meitan, known as the “Jiangnan of Yunnan-Guizhou.” It is a product with a national geographical indication and one of Guizhou’s three major famous teas. Its exquisite craftsmanship and exceptional quality have earned it widespread acclaim, making it one of the finest green teas and beloved by tea enthusiasts.

Additionally, Shiqian Moss Tea, originating from the “Hometown of Longevity” in China; Leishan Silver Ball Tea, the first spherical green tea in the country; Green Gem Tea, named by Guizhou tea master Mou Yingshu; and Zheng’an White Tea, which, despite its name, is actually a green tea, all serve as unique “green ambassadors” of Guizhou. Each of these teas embodies the charm and tea culture of Guizhou’s land and waters.

In addition to green tea, Guizhou also produces many outstanding tea types. Zunyi Black Tea, a representative of Guizhou’s black teas, is the result of skillfully combining Guizhou’s superior tea leaves with black tea processing techniques. Guizhou Matcha, which dates back to the Sui and Tang dynasties, is now the top exporter in China, widely shipped to Europe, the Americas, Japan, South Korea, and other countries.

(2) Scenic Attractions
Guizhou is like a magical and splendid mountain treasure park, containing countless scenic attractions. If you are curious and eager to explore, feel free to visit these remarkable natural wonders as part of the customized tea cultural tour:
Huangguoshu Waterfall, one of the world’s most famous waterfalls, stands majestically here with a breathtaking grandeur that captivates the heart. Mount Fanjing, known as the “Cultural Holy Land,” is also located here. As one of China’s five sacred Buddhist mountains, it holds a deeply profound Buddhist heritage.

Guizhou also boasts many other attractions, such as the idyllic emerald waters and tranquil ancient bridges of Libo Xiaoqikong; the fiery, colorful landscapes and majestic peaks of Chishui Danxia; the densely packed peaks and karst landforms of Wanfenglin resembling bamboo shoots in spring; and the deep, dramatic gorges and cascading waterfalls of the Maling River Canyon. Each of these destinations embodies the unique and captivating charm of Guizhou.

(3)Cultural Heritage
Guizhou not only features picturesque natural landscapes but also holds a distinctive cultural charm. Here, multiple ethnic groups, including the Miao, Bouyei, and Yao, coexist harmoniously, offering a rich and diverse cultural tapestry that fascinates visitors. If you are captivated by this cultural richness, you can explore these cultural treasures during the exclusive customized cultural tour:
The Thousand Miao Village (Qianhu Miao Village), the largest Miao settlement in China and even the world, known as the “Capital of the Miao People.”
