Hanzhong Xianhao is a green tea originating from Hanzhong City in Shaanxi Province, recognized as a protected Geographical Indication Product of China. Grown in the tea-producing region north of the Yangtze River, it is celebrated for its elegant appearance, emerald green color, high aroma, and mellow taste .
The tea gardens are situated at high elevations with significant diurnal temperature variations, frequent cloud cover, and abundant diffuse light. These conditions promote the accumulation of amino acids in the tea leaves while limiting the synthesis of tea polyphenols. As a result, Hanzhong Xianhao develops a distinctive character marked by a rich aroma, full-bodied taste, beautiful leaf form, excellent infusibility, and natural richness in zinc and selenium .
